Why is Mothership asking for my bank account info?

Mothership issues digital payments directly to your bank account via our partnership with Plaid.

Mothership aims to get carriers paid as quickly as possible. To do this, we issue digital payments directly to your bank account. These payments are made possible by our partnership with Plaid, a tool that securely links bank accounts to our app.

Please note that Mothership does not have access to the login credentials for connected accounts. Plaid allows us to deposit money for completed jobs, but we can never view banking activity. Connected accounts can be changed or updated at any time directly through the Mothership app.

Important: You must use the bank account associated with your business. Connecting a personal bank account, such as a Chime account, will result in failed payments.

Securely connecting your bank account with Plaid is easy:

  1. Select your bank.

  2. Log in with your online banking credentials.

  3. Receive payments in as little as 24 hours.

To update your connected accounts, visit the Account tab > Payment profile > Connected accounts.
