# Same-Day Local Zones

## What is a same-day local zone?

**A same-day local zone** refers to a highly populated area in major cities where we ensure an ideal balance of carriers and loads. This strategic approach allows us to provide exceptionally **fast and reliable delivery services to our valued customers**.

When you drive within a same-day zone and qualify for loads, we will connect you with nearby loads. You will receive various [types](https://carrierhelp.mothership.com/what-types-of-loads-are-available?hsLang=en) of load offers that fit your specific [vehicle](https://carrierhelp.mothership.com/carrier/how-can-i-update-my-truck-information?hsLang=en). Please note, carriers are approved for offers based on demand in their city.

2. Baltimore, Maryland
3. Chicago, Illinois
4. Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex, Texas
5. Delaware Valley - Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania 
6. Greater Los Angeles, California
7. Greater Houston, Texas
8. Inland Empire, California
9. Metro Detroit, Michigan
10. Miami, Florida
11. Nashville, Tennessee
12. New York, New York 
13. San Diego, California
14. San Francisco, California
15. Ventura County, California

#### **How are zones determined?**

We updated our same-day zones to mirror Metropolitan Statistical Areas (MSA), covering full zip codes. Zip codes will no longer be cut off or restricted, ensuring any address in an eligible zip code may receive same-day service. Metropolitan Statistical Areas have high population density and diverse commerce with populations of 50,000 or more.

Our local freight marketplace thrives in areas like these, where we can consistently offer carriers with a high volume of loads. If our new zoning does not include your area, it is because we are not currently able to maintain a reliable and efficient freight marketplace.
